The term ‘Engagement’ is very employer-centric. “How can we engage you more?” can give the impression that an organisation is only thinking about their profitability more than the well-being of the employee.
‘Motivation’ is fundamentally the same thing as engagement and much more employee-centric. So consider using ‘Motivation’ or ‘Motivators’ rather than the word ‘Engagement’ in discussions with your employees. It’s about showing that you care.
